One-on-One Test Preparation for the ASVAB
Serving in the United States military is a long-standing proud tradition.
Taking the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test is required of all men and women who plan to enlist in the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard, and it is only administered in English.
The purpose of the ASVAB is to help recruiters discern where your strengths and weaknesses lie, so they can determine your qualifications for enlistment and which jobs within the military you are best suited for.
The ASVAB consists of nine subject areas:
- General Science
- Arithmetic Reasoning
- Word Knowledge
- Paragraph Comprehension
- Mathematics Knowledge
- Electronics Information
- Auto and Shop Information
- Mechanical Comprehension
- Assembling Objects
Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning, and Mathematics Knowledge, are the most important sections and make up your Armed Forces Qualifications Test (AFQT) score. These four scores are used to determine enlistment eligibility and which programs and jobs you may be qualified for.
